Huper Cronos Celix is a premium range of high-alloy welding electrodes engineered to solve complex industrial welding challenges where conventional electrodes fail. Formulated with high chromium content, Cronos Celix delivers outstanding resistance to impact, heat, oxidation, and mechanical stress, making it ideal for demanding repair and fabrication applications.
The alloy provides exceptional metallurgical bonding, allowing reliable welding of dissimilar metals such as stainless steel to high-carbon steel, mild steel, or unknown steel compositions. Its weld deposit is crack-resistant, produces easily removable slag, and maintains structural integrity even under extreme thermal and mechanical loads. With tensile strength reaching approximately 78–84 kg/mm², Cronos Celix ensures durable, long-lasting joints in critical components.
Cronos Celix is widely used for repairing cracked, broken, or worn components in heavy equipment, including arms, booms, buckets, tracks, hydraulic parts, shafts, splines, and gears. It also performs reliably in high-temperature and high-pressure environments such as dies, molds, boilers, and stainless steel piping systems. Thanks to its versatility, Cronos Celix is particularly effective for welding spring steel, hard-to-weld steels, and components with unknown metallurgical composition.

Product Variants & Subsections
Cronos – Celix / Cronos – Celix G
A high-chromium special steel welding alloy offering exceptional impact resistance and strong metallurgical bonding. Ideal for heavy structural repairs, joining dissimilar metals, welding unknown steels, spring steel, and components exposed to high temperatures and vibration.
Typical Applications:
- Heavy equipment repair (arm, boom, bucket, track, hydraulic parts)
- High-vibration machine bases
- Shafts, splines, and cracked gears
- High-temperature dies and molds
- High-pressure stainless steel piping and boilers
Cronos – CT
A special alloy electrode with titania oxide blend and high chromium and nickel content. Designed for crack-free welding of mild steel or stainless steel to non-alloy, carbon steel, or low-alloy steel. Ideal as a buffer layer for hardfacing applications and for welding ferritic/martensitic stainless steels (410, 430).
C-98
A special steel electrode developed primarily as a buffer or base layer for welding on difficult-to-weld cast iron surfaces. Also suitable for medium bonding strength requirements involving torsion and light friction.
Cronos – S7L
A high-alloy stainless welding electrode with high molybdenum content, offering excellent resistance to severe corrosion, acidic environments, and chloride attack. Enhanced carbon content improves resistance to intergranular corrosion. Suitable for chemical, petrochemical, cement, fertilizer, paper, and process industries.
Other Cronos Stainless & Buffer Grades
