Huper Hard Facing X-otic is a specialty hardfacing welding alloy developed to address the extreme wear, abrasion, and corrosive conditions commonly found in palm oil processing and heavy industrial applications. Unlike conventional hardfacing electrodes that rely solely on hardness, X-Otic is engineered to deliver a balanced combination of extreme surface hardness, low friction characteristics, and chemical resistance.

With surface hardness reaching approximately 65–68 HRC, X-Otic provides exceptional resistance to abrasive wear while maintaining a smooth, dense, and low-friction weld surface. This smoothness significantly reduces metal-to-metal friction, minimizes material loss, and improves operational efficiency. During grinding, the deposit shows minimal spark generation, indicating superior abrasion resistance and structural integrity.

X-Otic is formulated to withstand acidic environments caused by Crude Palm Oil (CPO), effectively neutralizing corrosion and rust on metal surfaces. Field applications have demonstrated that components reconditioned with X-Otic experience significantly reduced wear on critical dimensions, even after extended operating hours, compared to original untreated parts. The weld deposit also offers higher deposition efficiency—approximately 25–30% more weld metal than conventional hardfacing electrodes—contributing to material savings and faster repair cycles.

Supported by specially designed buffer and base-layer alloys, X-Otic delivers maximum adhesion, impact resistance, and long-term durability. It is widely used for reconditioning worm screws, screw presses, ripple mills, bunch presses, crushers, mixers, and other components operating under severe abrasion, impact, and corrosive conditions.

  • KCP and related palm oil processing equipment

H-M140 (Buffer / Base Layer)

A special high-manganese hardfacing alloy developed as a buffer layer for X-Otic. Offers excellent toughness and impact resistance under severe abrasion and shock loading. The deposit becomes harder during operation, enhancing wear resistance over time.

Typical Applications:

  • Base layer for X-Otic hardfacing
  • Hammer mill
  • Stone crusher
  • Rails, plates, and high-impact wear components

H-SC

Designed for light to medium abrasion with excellent impact resistance. Provides good penetration, tensile strength, and machinability, making it suitable for components requiring post-weld machining.

Typical Applications:

  • Gears
  • Rollers (upper & lower)
  • Idlers, sprockets, track links
  • Railway wheels and low-carbon steel gears

H-4G

A chromium–manganese alloy hardfacing electrode suitable for medium abrasion with high torsional and impact loads. Ideal for repairing components subjected to twisting forces and moderate wear.

H-68

Designed for high abrasion resistance with good impact absorption. Difficult to machine but highly resistant to cracking. The deposit becomes harder after service, making it suitable for medium-to-high abrasion conditions.

Typical Applications:

  • Bucket teeth
  • Crusher components
  • Screw press
  • Excavation tools
  • Cement and stone mixers

H-70

A specialized hardfacing electrode offering excellent edge retention. Recommended for repair and rebuilding of cutting and crushing tools where sharpness and wear resistance are critical.
